Out of a group of Uniface tools found on what the hunter called Paleo Ridge--for both the Paleo points and the wide assortment of tools--mainly uniface--found there, McLean County, Kentucky. This piece is either Hornstone or Sonora, one person may say it's one, the next decide it's the other flint. Length is 3&5/16" by 1&1/4"--along the ridgeback the single thickest spot is 3/8" max. You can see the cortex material on the 'ridged side', some eroded fossils from the limestone cortex. One end, the wider end, has a pair of shaft scraping indentions with strong use wear--then a pressure chipped blade edge along the 'flint side' of the blade. Neat tool, 100% guaranteed authentic. $8.00 shipping, and payment to be by check, cash, or M.O. as I do not use paypal--Roy A.
