These two Knife River Flint Hanna points were found in Morton Co., North Dakota near the town of Mandan. (Note: The smaller of the two points has been broken and glued.)
Knife River Flint is one of the most desirable flint types for artifact collectors. Much in the way wood is petrified by being replaced with silica, coal seams in the Dakotas were petrified and replaced with quartzose materials forming Knife River Flint.
