This pair of well-made Knife River Flint Prairie Side Notched points are small but deadly! They were found in Morton Co., North Dakota near the town of Mandan.
Knife River Flint is one of the most desirable flint types for artifact collectors. Much in the way wood is petrified by being replaced with silica, coal seams in the Dakotas were petrified and replaced with quartzose materials forming Knife River Flint.
