Out of the Litchfield, Illinois, area, the finder having lived and hunted the area south of that city. Flint is either Avon Chert or something very similar, a high grade chert with translucent edges--that tells me the flint is a high silicate, so it's not Burlington, and under natural spectrum lights you pick up the blue inclusions of Avon. VERY good basal edge grinding, those side notches being fairly rounded--Early Archiac workmanship, slightly over 2" by 15/16"--just over 1/4" max thickness along the medial ridge. The blade shows obvious multiple sharpening attempts--while the shoulders may be near the stage one width that blade was cut-in and cut-in as sharpening was needed. Every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00, checks, cash, or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
