When collectors talk about graceful Columbia Plateau points made from Gem grade material this is the type of Columbia Plateau that's being described. It's so delicate it's scary to hold for fear of dropping it. It's not recommended to handle this point without a soft landing surface underneath! That said, this point type is dated 500 B.P. to 200 B.P.. Almost every smaller Columbia plateau started out with length like this one but were resharpened down to a shorter point. Chances are one more resharpening on this point would have drastically changed it's length. It's made of Banded Agate, displays near micro flaking, it's paper thin, has nasty little micro serrations & one short wing. It's one of those flake points, worked on one side, has a very slight curve, & a medium size flat on the back. Our grade on this point is G8.5, normally we would've graded this one a G7 but the lithic material & delicacy bump it's grade up. A very collectable point.
