This cache of 15 abalone Shell Pendants was found in Yolo Co., California. The camera doesn't pick up the fantastic color highlights to be found in the Pacific ocean abalone shell, but they are filled with vibrant reds, greens, and blues. A former owner of the cache coated them in a light lacquer to protect them from deterioration and preserve the colors.
