This Human Effigy figure was found at the mouth of the Frazier River in British Columbia in 1941. The figurine is complete with only slight damage to the base of one of the feet and it may have very well been made that way.
The accompanying handwritten note states:
"Found at the mouth of the Frazier River, British Columbia, was a wash out village site. Believe a sort of idol or a self statue. 1941"
The land at the mouth of the Frazier River belongs to the Sto:lo people, part of a loose grouping of Coast Salish indigenous nations.

"Loving someone and being "in love" are two entirely different conditions, with the former being a matter of the heart and mind, and the latter being something akin to temporary insanity."
