Absolutely the best bit you'll find on a Celt, I think--crisp edge, superb polish behind the bit itself. The glacial cobble material is a quartzite, measures 3&1/8" by1&5/8", close to 1&3/16" max thickness. The heel was made deliberately flat, then strongly polished--that much polish, the Woodland (Hopewell or Adena) had some secondary reason for doing so. To go that much trouble, it wasn't for 'looks', it had a purpose. I find no farming or other damage scratches on the piece--was it a river find, or somehow escape the plows--unknown, it's an estate item, Union County, Illinois, so it could have been found along that minor river that forms the western side of Union County. Every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is included with the price. I welcome checks or M.O.s, however I don't use paypal--Roy A.
