This knife was an essential tool for Buffalo Skinning. It feels good in your hand, very balanced and could be used by either hand. It has a raised center which reinforces the strength of the blade. Nice symmetry. Both sides have been resharpened showing that this tool was a well used and prized skinning tool for the owner.
It is a large ex-curvate, crescent shaped knife. The size is 6”L X 1.25”W and the material is Tan Chert. Location is Mid-Western U.S. approximately 3,000 to 200 years old.
The COA has a typo error, the knife is 1.25”W.
