Balanced is the best descriptive I can think of for a blade that's this symmetrical--4&3/16" by 1&3/16", with a thick (9/16") medial ridge-center of the blade--thinning to both tip and base. The material is a Crescent Quarry high grade Burlington Chert, glossy. A modern-made chip on the tip shows the more white look of freshly exposed flint--came to me this way by way of a Jefferson County, Illinois, collection. You see the surface patina surrounding the very tiny chip, you can study the aging. There is one other small modern chip on a basal corner, a 'handling ding' from the finder's family. The price reflects those two small chips. The piece is lifetime guaranteed authentic, period. Shipping comes with the listed price, and payment can be by check, cash, or M.O. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
