Fossiliferous Pontchartrain
It seems like many Pontchartrains are made of an Edwards material laden with fossils. This is a Central Texas artifact and it is 3 1/2 inches long.
It exhibits good edgework and is wider than most Pontchartrains which makes it a healthy stout point.
The Pontchartrain form is from the Late Archaic thru Woodland periods.
(3.400 to 2,000 BP)
EX Burt Collection.
