Covington Type Side Haft Blade
A slight difference in Symmetry caught my eye on this artifact, It has the hallmark of a side haft with one side resharpened and tapered more than the other. Of course I wasn't there, but it makes sense.
It may have been a hand held tool as well.
It's fairly thin and worked all around so probably was reversable regardless of how it was used.
This is a lite brown Edwards chert with specked inclusions around the artifact. There is also signs of concretion showing in the flake scars and worn areas .
