Obsidian Core - Central America
Store: The Relic Hunter
Price:
$295.00

Sold
Dimensions:4.9" X 1.3"
This fantastic Obsidian Core shows the pattern for striking off obsidian blades for ceremonial or weapon use by the Aztec and Mayan cultures. The long thin bladelits could be used for decoration or fastening to clubs to provide a deep, cutting edge. Obsidian blades have been compared to modern surgical tools in terms of sharpness. This core comes from central America.
