I bought this large corner notch advertised as an archaic arrowhead, but I don't thing that is what it is. I think it is a large Hopewell. It has the random flaking you would expect from a woodland arrowhead and the styling of a Snyders variant. It is a large arrowhead measuring 4 1/4" in length and 2 1/4" in width. It is made of Crowley's Ridge and has heavy patina. Found in Clay Co, Arkansas. I think the nock in the side might actually have been on purpose. Either that or it was ancient damage and has been smoothed with ancient grinding. Some say these side notches in arrowheads are shaft scrapers, some say they are made to let blood flow when used in hunting. Ex Mitch Lewis. Guaranteed authentic. 30-day inspection period. No reason needed for return. I accept Pay Pal, money orders and personal checks.
