This interesting artifact is made from a beautiful translucent agatized/petrified wood with many variations in color. It’s 4 1/2 inches long and already has a nice feel to the shape of it. It appears to be very nearly completed with one small spot yet to be chipped. Or was the spot left to give the maker a nice grip when using this as a tool?? If you could hold it you would see why I ask that!
Very unusual with sharp edges, a well formed stem and nice tip. From the Mid-Archaic Period so approximately 4,000 to 7,000 years old. Found in the High Plains area of the USA. Comes with a Dwain Rogers COA.
The pictures do not do it justice, it is a gorgeous point!
