Out of Edwards County, Illinois, once displayed in the Indian Hill Museum of Norman Reid (the finder), in Bone Gap, Illinois--the Early Archaic knife is made of a decent quality tan chert, similar to a 'better grade' of Ft. Payne Chert,3&13/16" by 1&3/4"--max thickness is slightly under 3/8", VERY proportional. The piece is marked as by the late Mr. Reid as being found in 1949--every detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic.
