Shortened during its worklife, length is 1&3/4"--likely an additional inch of blade longer as first made, but what a fine piece of Indiana Garrison County Hornstone, color, gloss, and patina. The piece comes from a collection gathered along the Ohio River, Perry or Spencer County, Indiana. The base is fractionally under 1" wide, max thickness is 5/16" nearer the tip. Occasionally these Lowe/ Bakers Creek points, Late Hopewell, will have stem edge grinding--this one does. They're one of the few Hopewell Cluster points that did exhibit grinding.. The one 'chalky ' corner is limestone cortex. The center of the point shows the blue quartz inclusion of a hornstone nodule--a bullseye. Every detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $5.00 with checks or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
