Natural Authentic Columbia Plateau projectile point. (Arrowhead) Found on the banks of the Columbia River, near the present day John Day Dam, near the Washington side of the Columbia River near Roosevelt, Washington Found on the Washington State, The material is Columbia Plateau, light brown brown chert. This form of chert is very common in that area, from the Miocene, Volcanic, Geological era of the past 25 to 20 million years. Grading on this point is an 9.5. No flat spots on both side and no curves. Wonderful, point will look perfect in your frame. The Age and type of point by using professional standards is from the Professional classifications of about 200 before present, (BP). Age is about 3,000 years to 6,500 years BP. Classification, is Columbia Plateau Ouileome Bar, Sundale type of late arcatic point. Very unusual type of Quileome Bar Point, found mostly in the lower John Day Reservoir of the Mid-Columbia River in Klickitat, Co. Washington State.
