Unknown provenance. These came in with ather artifacts from Missouri. I am not sure where these were found. Ex Paul Frey. One is made of a very nice banded slate material. The other is a redish brown sedimentary material. The slate one has 1883 etched into the side of it. This was a common practice in the early days of collecting. The other has some damage to it but still a nice example of the form. Thought to be tie on atlatl weights. Rare to see these on grooved. Guaranteed authentic for life. $10.00 shipping
