Shipping cost comes with the price on this point from an estate N.W. of St. Louis--even identifying the chert, I'll be searching the "Illinois Lithics" or Missouri Lithics sites to find out what to call it--colorful, definitely--length is 1&11/4" by 1&5/16", some 5/16" max thickness. Classifying the piece is another set of characteristics to sift through: a base like a Turkey Tail, but not quite, however the blade is right for a Turkey Tail (not ground, but dulled on the sides of the bulbous base). The tip is slightly extruded, so the blade was once somewhat longer and subsequent use as a burin worked the edges of the tip. While leaving the classification as a Turkey Tail sort of vague, what is clear is the excellent patina, it's lifetime guaranteed authentic. I welcome checks or M.O.s, however I don't use paypal--Roy A.
