A "no-brainer" authentic Missouri creek find, Callaway or area county. The piece is made of Burlington Chert, deeply creek stained, 3&3/8" by 1&1/4", ans thick enough (almost 7/16") that you know the blade started as a much larger knife; edges and tip all show multiple sharpening work, the blade narrowing toward the medial ridge. Stem edges and basal edge all show excellent grinding work. As the pictures show, picking out the face-down side, the side in the creek gravel, is easily told The Hardin comes with a very simply guarantee: every detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic..
