Large Pottery Shards
These shards are a personal find by me, and were all found eroding out of a Rangia Shell Midden along and under the waterline.
Some of these appear to from the same vessel, the largest of which is a curved rim piece that measures about (5" X 5") The black coating is asphaltum which was applied to the inside for waterproofing.
