THIN--only 1/4" at the thickest spot, this heavy, heavy creek stained Cobbs knife is out of the Henderson, Kentucky, area. Length is 3&11/16" by 1&7/16". There isn't a modern chip to show dark gray hornstone, but that's exactly what I think this gold-colored flint is--gray hornstone. The piece is classic Early Archaic bevel sharpened, and the basal edge doesn't show much of any edge grinding (typical on a Cobbs, they rarely ground the base). One note, you set the blade down on a table and the thin flints "rings"--a sure sign of high end flint. Every detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic, period. Shipping is $4.00, with checks appreciated--day-after-receipt shipping--Roy A.
