I have been in the military antiques and artifact business for 50 years, including 8 years as the director of the Militaria/Arms venue at Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Tx. While I handle a broad spectrum of Native American artifacts, primarily mid western, Mississipian and eastern, including many exceptional pieces from old collections, we do have a truly exceptional inventory of artifacts from southeastern Pennsylvania, most notably Berks and Lehigh counties. While all items are unequivocally guaranteed to be the Native American made ancient artifacts as represented, we will accept a return for full refund less shipping within thirty (30) days of your receipt of the piece. If there is, in fact, an error on our part in the description we will also refund your cost of shipping. Most shipping will be via US mail, although on occasion when available we will utilize UPS or FedEx ground. We are of course willing to accommodate expedited shipping if you are willing to pay the cost. You will find us to be easy and reliable to deal with as evidenced by our nearly 50 year reputation in the business. We would expect payment within 7 days of purchase and your order will be shipped the following day. We do not handle questionable or problematic material. If a piece does not meet our strict criteria for both appearance and provenance is is not included in our inventory. We do not profess to be experts. While we do have a good knowledge of pieces from central and southeastern Pennsylvania, w/respect to both material and forms. Otherwise, we are quite frankly woefully inadequate at identifying form and materials, and we feel it is better to let that up to you. If there is anything we can do to aid you in that process just let us know. The jasper, quartz and quartzite southeastern Pennsylvania points in the first section of our listings were acquired by us directly from the son of the couple who recovered these pieces in the area of Vera Cruz/Macungie/Eastern Berks County Pennsylvania e.g. Longswamp. We consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to acquire these pieces and they are offered here on the internet for the first time. When we acquired them they were still housed in the cigar boxes in which they were stored. The Vera Cruz jasper mines date back to C. 8000 BC when they were initially exploited by the Lenape/Delaware peoples for tool and weapons production. At the height of the Delaware mining activities there were more than 100 small jasper pits operating in the area of Vera Cruz. There is still a 35 mile long stretch of jasper pits extending from the Delaware River to Fleetwood, Berks County, Pennsylvania. These jasper pits are evidence of some of the earliest mining in the new world and Vera Cruertain of z jasper has been found as far away as New England. Also please note that we only identify materials of which pieces are fabricated when we are absolutely certain of our identification. Also we rarely specifically identify point forms as we, quite frankly, see that information presented all over the board. We are certain that most of you are more knowledgeable than we are and can identify point materials and types to your own satisfaction. Obviously if there is anything we can do to help just let us know/ask a question. The second portion of our current offering is primarily Quartz/Quartzite pieces from Berks County Penna. This material is actually rather difficult to work, and examples of the quality and condition we offer are really quite scarce. The third portion of our current offering is items, primarily eastern and midwestern, from a large high end collection we purchased a number of years ago that had been assembled by a gentleman of means and includes exceptional material as you will see. We inventory many hundreds of exceptional additional pieces and will continue adding to the site in the coming days and weeks.
