Shipping included on this hornstone Turkey Tail out of the Spencer--Perry County, Indiana, area along the Ohio River. Length from the excellent Late Archaic Period base to the fire-fractured and anciently rechipped tip is 2&3/4" by 1&5/16". You see ancient fire damage on hornstone, you know the point was too close to the campfire--hornstone sort of explodes when it gets too hot. Here, there was enough blade length left to effect a new tip to the knife. The salvage chips gave the tip a 'twist' much like Thebes and other bevel-sharpened Early Archaic points--study the repair, you'll understand...kind of hard to describe, though. I welcome cash, checks, or M.O.s, but do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
