Shipping is included, nothing extra on this Snap Base Dovetail out of Hopkins County, Kentucky. The basal edge shows some salvage chipping made to help the hafted knife in service--small flakes, but they're deliberate work (see the closeup). The knife must have had the base snap very earaly in its worklife, there wasn't enough time for a bevel to be made during repeated sharpening. Where ever the finder came by this piece, though, whether creek or field, the patina to the hornstone is outstanding--just no brainer it's so patinated. Take a moment and check out the extra long flakes that form the body--some strikes, the flake scar traveled 2/3rds of the way across the blade. You don't often see knapping with flake scars anywhere near so long--the work of a master, lifetime guaranteed authentic. Neat piece,2&3/4" by 1&11/16", 3/8" thickness in the hafting region. I welcome checks or M.O.s, however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
