A strongly serrated hornstone Kirk point from Spencer County, Indiana--in my 'put away' collection for a dozen years due to the strong sharpening techniques used--and the transverse parallel flaking of the upper blade--fine workmanship when you see flaking of that caliber. Length of the weathered hornstone is 2&1/8" by 1&5/16", basal edge shows moderate grinding--it's Kirk, after all, that culture was hit-or-miss when it came to basal grinding. the barb end, the slight chips on the basal corners, that's all old, patinated chipping, it tells you the point was used, cared for. Good piece, real in every detail. Shipping is $5.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
