In a frame of mostly Hornstone, the gloss of this small Greenbrier stood out--nice dart points around it, no doubt, but this Dalton Culture point was in a different category. Length is 1&11/16" by 15/16", some 5/16" max thickness. The full stem area is edge-ground--as it should be on these Early Archaic Culture points. Across the tip there is a feel of use polish--whatever final use the dart point had, it involved rubbing against another surface--your hands will easily find the rub wear, the upper blade becomes slick to the touch. I repeat it too often, but Greg Perion was right, your hands tell you a lot about how a piece of flint was used--the blade edges still have some sharpness, though, so cutting was still part of the tool's usage. The piece comes from a Knox County, Kentucky, collection, lifetime guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $5.00, checks, cash, or .O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I don't use paypal--Roy A.
