Out of a west central Tennessee collection, although the piece looks more like a Kentucky or Indiana form of Hornstone--estates, you can't exactly go ask "Hey, where'd you get this?". Looking at the material, though, I'd expect the piece was found more near Louisville, Ky, but could have come from the Indiana side of the Ohio river just as easily. Nice point, excellent grade of Hornstone,2&13/16" by 1&1/2". The body of the blade is fairly thick, a full 3/8"--stem is even thick--proportioned, yes, but thicker than you'd expect on one of these Mid-to-Late Archaic Table Rocks. The sides of the stem are dulled, not the basal edge--common trait when you're looking at Table Rocks. The knapping, the patina, they're excellent, guaranteed authentic in all details. Shipping is $6.00 (the latest in USPS rate increases, sorry)--checks, cash, or M.O.s are welcomed--paypal is not taken--Roy A.
