A type of Hornstone that comes from exactly two states: Indiana or Kentucky, but the point ended up in a southern Illinois estate without the provenance--absolutely guaranteed to receive a Jerry Dickey COA, though, it's no-brainer. I've removed a couple tiny glue spots on one face that would indicate there WAS a label on it at one time, but the tag gone before I first saw the point. Unfortunate. The flint is a banded form of high grade Hornstone2&1/4" by 1&7/16"--thickest spot is slightly under 3/8". The base is heavily ground, and all four basal points are intact--as it the tip. The only thing I see to prevent the piece from a G-10 rating is a slight dish-in slightly down from the tip--it's an ancient repair of a use-made chip. I'll emphasize once more, the patina on this Pinetree is outstanding, it's lifetime guaranteed real. I'll pay the shipping, and I welcome checks or M.O.s, however I do not use paypal--one final note--please PLEASE do not send me a "Would you take...?--I will not, the point is in my personal collection--Roy A.
