Glued to a felt board, the identity of the piece wasn't quite sure until it was pried loose--I was expecting it to be uniface...which it definitely isn't. The glue will still need to be soaked (or nail polish remover), no ill effects on the fine patina of the Sonora Flint. The collection was based in the Elizabethtown, Kentucky, area--wish I had an exact county, but doubt anyone living remembers where the man hunted. Length is just under 2&9/16" from the work-polished scraper end to the Harrison-type Turkey Tail stem. The tip has a limestone cortex inclusion, a feature that adds even more color to the Sonora. The finder had a Turkey Tail site to rival any I've ever heard of (138 T.T. bases, and only a handful of finished-out Turkey Tails) what a site! Every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00, and payment can be by check or M.O. (or cash), but paypal is not taken--Roy A.
