A piece I pulled from my personal collection, what I'm remembering was a Daviess or Ohio County, Kentucky creek find--years pass, and with small points it's hard to put a lot of provenance on the tiny adhesive label; this Kirk Stemmed dart point is made of a high grade of Harrison County (Indiana) Hornstone, measures 1&5/8" by 15./16", 1/4" thickness. The basal edges are lightly ground--the blade, those serrations are meant for cutting-in..same to be said for the barbs--assuming this was a projectile on a spear throwing device, when it hit its target it stayed in. Good piece, great patina, 100% authentic. Shipping is $5.00. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s, but do not take paypal--Roy A.
