Big 3 13-16" ABBEY Archaic Arrowhead, Florida-Georgia, Ex-Johnny Tomberlin (Coquitt, GA)
Up for sale is big Abbey Archaic arrowhead. The seller said it has a fossil inclusion on one ear but I did not recognize it. It is 3 13/16” long and 1 5/8” wide and is from Florida or Georgia. It is nicely made. I purchased this artifact from the respected collector Johnny Tomberlin (Coquitt, GA). Abbey arrowheads were used during the Middle Archaic Archaeological period making this point between 6,000 to 4,000 years old.
