Very unique Incised red slate pendant found in Franklin Co, OH. Every angle on this piece is intentional. First thought was salvaged banner but there isn't evidence suggesting such; another idea was a salvaged gorget, if so it's unlike most I have seen. There is lots of incising especially around the perforation and it's highly possible this is an effigy pendant. Either way it's incredible piece and a must have for any slate collector!
