A very, very high silicate flint (chalcedony), color is much like Sonora Flint, and coming from Cumberland County, Kentucky, the material is likely a high grade variant of the Sonora 'cluster'. The very early Early Archaic point is a Greenbrier (Dalton point family) 3&1/8" by 1&5/16". A stack in the material made thinning the knife difficult, center thickness reaches almost to 1/2", but thins to good symmetry at tip and base. Stem edge grinding is excellent, slightly lighter on the basal edge itself. Some use and blade sharpening shows on each shoulder--not damaged, just used. Patina is very good for so hard of a material, guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed--sorry, paypal is not taken--Roy A.
