A Fayatte County, Illinois, origin Woodland Celt, measures a FULL 7&1/4" by 2&15/16", 1&15/16" thick granite Celt. An old catalog number is stenciled above the county information--whose number that was, though, coming through an estate there was no info provided--old story there, unfofrtunately. Form, material, workmanship, patina, plow scars, every possible detail is real, lifetime guaranteed authentic. The heel clip-off looks like it was part of the original glacial cobble surface--not damage, simply the Celt followed the contours of the rock used--they got to the heel, there wasn't enopugh granite wo work. The bit, while it shows some wear, some edge repair in ancient use, is excellent--grinding/ polishing of the bit area is strong. The big Celt will barely fit a Priority Mail package, shipping is $11.00. checks or money orders welcomed--Roy A.
