Guerrero or Mission points are very unique. They come from a specific time period. Because they can be similar to other Texas types, they have to be found in mission areas and in historic period strata. In other words, Texas authenticators are hesitant to put Guerrero unless other criteria are met. Maverick County is on the Camino Real with missions on both sides of the border specifically Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. The Camino Real stretched from Mexico City to Natchitoches, Louisiana, about 2500 miles. Maverick county is also close to the San Antonio Road which led to one of the largest mission complexes in Texas. This Guerrero is very well flaked, which is common for the type with a fine tip. It is Plano-Convex and pressure flaked, even on the base. Sorry, the Leon River flooded last year and all of my Guerrero's were at the bottom of the safe and the lowest case got damp so I lost a few papers. I think this Rogers COA can be salvaged. I have the shipping.
