This well-patinated Southern Indiana Dalton lanceolate defies the norm with beveling on the left side of each face rather than the more typical right side examples. The long, narrow blade has lightly serrated edges ending at a sharp tip, and the shoulders are weak and angular. The base flares outward, and the deeply concave basal edge has a fishtail appearance. If you’re looking for a large, classic Dalton form coupled with a robust appearance, here’s one that’s worth a 2nd look. (Or maybe even a 3rd!)
