I'M A PROFESSIONAL retired Anthropologist/Archaeologist. I have over 6 1/2 years of University Studies in Columbia River Ancient culture. I begun collecting when I was 7 or 8 years old. in 1948. That means about 70 years experience. Found on the banks of the Columbia River, near the present day Priest Rapids Dam south of Vantage, WA. On state route 243 between Mattawa, WA. and the Venetia Bridge in South Central Washington State. Who found this artifacts is unknown, but it looks like the type of points found in the Jagger Island, (Also spelling, Yaegger, and Yeager Island), or The Figure Two Ranch, and down the Columbia River to the Tri-Cities area. The material is s white moss agate, common to this area of the Mid Columbia. This type of Chalcedony agate is common within Volcanic, Miocene Geological era. Grading on this point it is about a 9.5. No flat spots on either side and only a very small natural material flaw. Very nice cloudy moss agate chalcedony.
This point would have been a perfect 10.00 if the small natural flaw in the agate would have not part of the manufacturing. The Age and type of point by using professional standards is from the Professional classifications of about 200 before present, (BP).
Age is about 200 years to 1,200 BP. Classification, is Columbia Plateau Phase II. We will not accept, out of US or Canada Payments unless they are PayPal and completed.
