An exceptional and rare example of a Paleo Clovis Platter Blade found in Meigs County Tennessee. In excellent condition with classic large percussion flaking and great form. Exhibits end to end, outre passe flaking and is thinned nicely for size. Made of amazing material that I do not know what to call. It looks similar to petrified wood, fine layers that have the look of Damascus steel. Superb dark and light contrasting colors, wild material. Covered with mineralization and patina. Exceptional Paleo Blade and quite a handful. Measures 6.75" x 3 7/8".
