I am working on buying a collection that was put together from Eastland County in the 1940's- 1950's. The finder's name is on the COA. The son inherited in the 60's and the collection has been put away since then. I have a few papered points back and will post them for a few days. My first order I had the name wrong. It is Harry not Henry, but will try to get that corrected at the Temple show. This COA has the correct name.
This is an outstanding and rare Lott Point from Eastland County. It is very thin with single notch in the center of the base. It has outstanding flaking with classic barbs and basal concavity. Lott points were associated with Garza points in the upper two occupation levels at Blue Mountain Rock Shelter. Since I am not aware of a Lott point found in Eastland County, I plan on sending a photo of this point to Overstreet for posterity sake.
P.S. - After looking at the post, I have to mention that this point looks so much better in the hand that it does in a photo.
