Up for your consideration is this Natural authentic Columbia Plateau projectile point. (Arrowhead) Found on the banks of the Columbia River, near the present day Dalles Dam, John Day Dam, and the Tri-Cities, WA. (Kennewick, WA.) Who found this artifacts is unknown, but it looks like the type of points found in those three Columbia River Dam projects? The material is volcanic glass called obsidian. Obsidian is common in Central and Southern Oregon from the Volcanic, Miocene Geological era. Grading on this point is full 10. No flat spots on either side and no curves. No nicks, shovel dings, broken parts, just total complete. The Age and type of point by using professional standards is from the Professional classifications of about 200 before present, (BP). Age is about 200 years to 1,200 BP. Classification, is Columbia Plateau Phase II. We don't intend to say negatives about Overstreet, only that they need to use more professional information from Universities and establish modern Museum. Not person with personal interest in seeing their artifacts used in the publication to increase their value.
