This very nice Shumla was found in Brewster Co., TX. These are a late Archaic 200 to 1,000 years old. Most common in the lower Pecos, but also found in south Texas. These are usually made of heat treated chert, with the thermal alteration giving the point a pinkish color, a vitreous shhen and a "greasy" feeling.
